Success In Weight-Loss Guide - If It Only Took Eating Right

Success In Weight-Loss Requires:
- Knowledge - If you only focus on what you eat and how much you exercise, then you will be ignoring all the things that worked against you to become overweight in the first place. By knowing what those things are, and how they impact your life as a whole, you can work to gain control of them and stop them from ruining your weight-loss efforts - or life in general.
- Support - Dealing with weight-loss isn't a short-term obstacle to overcome. It requires a total overhaul of what you eat, how you feel about yourself, and much more. If you have to endure all of that on your own you will be much more likely to fail. The more people you have in your corner helping you through it all, and cheering you on, the more likely you will be able to succeed in your endeavors.
- Time - If you try and lose weight in too short a time (too quickly) it will only work to make you sick, weak, and more likely to gain more weight back later. Losing weight needs to be done at the right speed. Plus, because it requires a major overhaul of how you do things in your life, it is going to take time to become more "permanent" in your life.
- Effort - Success in Weight-Loss isn't something you can do half-heartedly. The REAL effort you put in will determine the actual results you get. The problem faced by most people is that we tell ourselves we're putting in a lot of effort when we're not actually putting in any.
- Awareness - One of the main contributors to weight-gain is lack of awareness of what we're eating, when we're eating, how much we're eating, and how little activity we get to burn all those calories off. If you are not aware of what you're doing to yourself, then it only serves to make it that much easier to fail in your weight-loss efforts.
- Counseling / Therapy (Possibly) - For many people meeting the first six items will be enough to bring success in their weight-loss efforts. However, some people need an extra push to both get started, and to keep going. If you're finding things are just not working the way you would like, or hoped, then adding Counseling / Therapy work can make all the difference in the world.
