Success In Dealing With Issues Requires:

  • Knowledge - If you try and tackle your issues without fully understanding how to do so, you will not only waste your time; you can also make the issues bigger or worse. There is a right way to deal with issues and once you know what it is the process is that much easier.
  • Support - Dealing with issues can be emotionally, mentally, and physically draining. Without having other people to talk to about what's happening, it can leave you feeling isolated. Plus, you need as many people as possible outside of yourself to help keep you on track and focused. Without having support it's far too easy to give up or quit.
  • Time - Most of our issues have taken years to grow and evolve into what they are now. As a result, it's not unreasonable to take time to change or remove them. In most cases it can take a few years to truly get an issue under control. That doesn't mean constant effort for years and years. You only have to deal with an issue when it's right in front of you.
  • Effort - Dealing with issues isn't something you can do half-heartedly. The REAL effort you put in will determine the actual results you get. The problem faced by most people is that we convince ourselves we're putting in a lot of effort when we're not actually putting in any.
  • Counseling / Therapy (Possibly) - For many people meeting the first four items will be enough to bring success in dealing with issues. However, some people need an extra push to both get started, and to keep going.   • Counseling / Therapy - We don't separate Counseling and Support into two different things. For us they are the same thing, just used to different levels.
